Based at our Sydney Head Office and reporting directly to the Trade Director, this role incorporates leading and executing strong commercial results and a world class retail experience. You will focus intently on creating an engaging and supportive culture which allows for a consistently well-executed brand experience across sales, operations and people, commercial results and growth each season.


As the National Retail Manager, your tasks will include:


  • Taking strategic, operational, and managerial responsibility of the retail channel including sales performance; recruitment, motivation and development of staff; store merchandising and visual presentation; expense and payroll controls 
  • Delivering sales budgets and goals set for the retail portfolio including daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and associated KPIs  
  • Identifying and pursuing new trade opportunities in the market  
  • Designing and overseeing tailored store by store plans, in collaboration with Regional, Area and Store Managers and relevant departments, to reach brand priorities, optimize performance and elevate the client experience.
  • Project Management and Coordination for any retail-related project.
  • Working closely with E-commerce, Marketing & PR, Digital and Operations teams to enhance awareness and performance across sales, client experience, store and team productivity, operations
  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service across all stores and team members and ensure a strong customer base is developed and maintained
  • Ensuring store appearance and atmosphere supports and reinforces the brand image
  • Managing and coaching a group of high-achieving individuals, making sure tools and support are in place ensuring performance at the highest ability.
  • Hiring, training and developing a team of Regional and Area and Visual Merchandising Managers with a strong focus on delivering the highest level of service to our customers


You will bring: 


    • 4 years+ in a National Retail Manager position within the retail industry 
    • Experience working within the Australian Womenswear market is highly desirable 
    • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, interpreting financial reports and generating efficient rosters
    • Demonstrated experience reacting calmly and quickly to market pressures in order to maximise or minimise risk 
    • Significant experience leading retail business and stores, executing and developing retail operations and make sure that we build and will benefit from an omnichannel approach in our markets
    • A results oriented mindset and a drive for achieving ambitious targets and goals
    • A self-starter approach, taking initiative and ownership of role and directives
    • Ability to diagnose, resolve and communicate complex problems
    • Proven experience creating and maintaining successful relationships with the Executive Leadership team and Commercial stakeholders that allows for the success of the business goals 
    • Ability to think strategically to identify missed opportunities and have a proven track record in driving sales and KPI’s
    • Possesses a strong passion and understanding of customer service, journey and loyalty that continuously improves the business success and following 
    • A focus on creating and delivering unique experiences for both our clients and employees
    • Exceptional communication skills, that will allow you to support, inspire, motivate and create a people-oriented culture
